I explain policy honestly and stand my ground in the national debate.
I champion Zongo communities and women in public life, tirelessly.
I believe in accountability, transparency and respect for Ghana’s institutions.
I am Hajia Rabi Salifu, Deputy National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party — and you may know my voice from Ghanaian television and radio, from JoyNews and TV3 to Metro TV, GHOne and Starr FM.
From my student days in TESCON to grassroots organising across the Northern Region, I have devoted my life to Zongo communities, women and young people. Being installed as Development Queen-mother of the Baribari (Kanuri) community in Ghana remains one of the great honours of my life.
I served as treasurer in the NPP’s tertiary students’ wing during my university days.
I led outreach to Zongo and Muslim communities across the Northern Region.
I joined the regional campaign team, carrying our message across the north.
The party’s National Executive Committee appointed me to the national directorate.
I was installed as Development Queen-mother, and I serve as political aide to the former Vice-President.
On JoyNews’ Newsfile, I argued that an open presidential endorsement undermined the transparency Parliament owes Ghanaians.
